Welcome to the October '08 edition of the Peterborough Workspace Newsletter.
I am pleased to say that despite all the economic gloom in the news, that we are still receiving a healthy level of enquiries, indeed three new businesses moved in last month. As a consequence we do not having any vacant offices/units at the moment. However, later this month one of our firms (Allind Ltd) will be moving out, due to business expansion which will free up a further three units.
We held a tenants meeting last month, coming out of the meeting were two ideas which I will be exploring in the coming weeks; the setting up of a directory to promote the onsite businesses, both locally and nationally and to improve the mechanism for the onsite businesses to trade with each other. I am at the early stage of these projects but I am looking to have something in place by the end of November.
Last month we had two excellent workshops the first was delivered by Chris Billington-Hughes of the Result Corporation titled ”Increase your business by 33% using proven growth strategies”, the second was delivered by Graham Baldwin of Hartwin Ltd “Your IT questions answered”. Next month we again have two workshops, the first by Nick Smith on Goal Setting the second by Terry Moore of the Peterborough College of Adult Education.
This month's Business Link article is “How to survive difficult times Part 2”. This article focus is on sales and revenues. With everything that is happening in the financial markets at the moment, the article makes very interesting reading. This month's Peterborough Workspace business is LMT (Liqui Moly Treatments) who have been with us 12 months.
Peterborough Workspace is ideal for those businesses working from home who want to get to the next level. If you are aware of any such business which would benefit from the services which we provide please refer them directly to me.
This month we will be attending Business Focus on 8th October at the Holiday Inn if you are visiting please come over and say hello.
