Welcome to the April edition of Peterborough Workspace Newsletter.
We again had a little bit of movement in March, with two business moving out and one business moving in. The trend for the year continues to be positive, as we have seen nine businesses move in and six move out, leaving us with only three vacant units the details of which appear below. Enquiries are currently running at a very good level and averaging approximately 2-3 per week.
One of the important services that we offer to our businesses is a full security system, which is excellently supported by Mark2 Security. Last month the system was put to the test when we had a break in. The thieves smashed an office window which triggered the alarm, but nevertheless brazenly entered the building. However, within ten minutes the security personnel were on site which meant that the thieves only had time to steal £10 from the post tin. The security system was so sound that the thieves never left the office. Although the thieves fled before Mark 2 Security arrived, their images were caught on CC tv which has been passed to the police.
Last month we had three excellent and well attended workshops from NatWest bank, Tony Larkins of Beacon Financial and Mark Jackson of Rawlinsons. This month we have two scheduled; Alan Brighton of Action Coach “The simple measures every business needs to thrive in a recession” and Mark Jackson of Rawlinsons delivering the second of their highly regarded Business Builder forums.
This month's Business Link article talks about business financial health checks, which is very relevant at this time.

Please allow us to introduce ourselves:
We are a Peterborough family based business which has been established since 2004, we offer a courier service to local businesses with the added facility of chilled and frozen vehicles to service the food industry.
We currently operate a fleet of the latest vehicles that are fully insured and all are fitted with a satellite tracking/Navigation systems and mobile phones, this ensures we know the exact location of your delivery and to make sure it gets there ASAP. Once your goods are on our vehicle they remain there until the delivery destination is reached. Several of our clients have indicated that this limits the damage & losses that are associated with using a pallet distribution network.
After that build up imagine the deflation when you had demonstrated the sometimes ineffectiveness of their locks when the question comes “Do you do alarms mate?”
All our vehicles are available to go anywhere in the UK or Europe seven days a week for any of those urgent deliveries at a moments notice.

Newsletter - October 2009

list of businesses at Peterborough Workspace

Welcome to the October edition of the Peterborough Workspace Newsletter.

September continued the stable trend that we saw in August, with no businesses moving out and one business moving in. So, currently we have only one available unit the details of which appear below. However, that position will change shortly, as I am aware that three businesses will be moving out, two to much bigger units, but more on that next month.

As mentioned last month we have now started our Workshops, and Rawlinsons kicked it off in fine style with "How to get your customers to buy more from you", this month we have three workshops, firstly Media Matters with “helping you raise your profile on the web”, then Easylife IT talking about some of the latest CRM developments, before we end the month with another workshop from Rawlinsons.

This month's Business Link article continues “Staff recruitment theme”, this time on the interviewing process.

For the third year running we will be exhibiting at Business Focus which is held on 9th October at Holiday Inn Peterborough-West, Thorpe Wood, Peterborough. Doors open ay 9.00 a.m. and if you are visiting we would love to see you.

Peterborough Workspace is ideal for those businesses working from home who want to get to the next level. If you are aware of any such business which would benefit from the services which we provide please refer them directly to me.
