Welcome to the first edition of Peterborough Workspace Newsletter for 2009 and I hope that it will be a successful year for all of you.
As predicted last month we now have four units available, which is the first time that we have had vacant units for awhile. Having said that activity continues to be buoyant, with 7 businesses moving in and four businesses moving out in the last two months.
I do believe, that the coming twelve months will be hard for some businesses and that is why it is important, that we do all that we can, to support or onsite firms. We are very proud that we have an 85% success rate of businesses still trading successfully after three years and intend this year, to at the very least, maintain that statistic.
In the last two months, we have had three excellent workshops, the first was delivered by Graham Drage, of WSI marketing, on Internet Marketing and Search Engine Optimisation and then we had Martin Rhodes, of HHG Business Services, on how we can benefit from the challenges that the current economic downturn presents. The final workshop was presented by Hayley McDade, of hc solicitors, on avoiding customer debt.
In February we have two workshops planned the first, by Tony Larkins of Beacon Finance, on Critical Illness and Pensions and at the end of the month Greenwoods Solicitors will be delivering a talk, on the importance of clear Terms and Conditions.
This month's Business Link article talks about business co-operation/collaboration.
