Global Recognition for Workspaces' R&D Experts...

Posted on

Since launching in 2007, Solar Polar have been working on projects aimed at reducing reliance on fossil fuels, reducing emissions and sustainable, clean concepts.

Following years of self-funded research,  Co-Founders Michael Reid and Robert Edwards, continued to progress the project with the support of angel investors and grants from a number of organisations. Now in 2021 their 'Cool Box' concept has taken a huge leap forward as it has been recognised by the Solar Impulse Foundation as a leading example of a sustainable, clean and profitable concept.

The Foundation is a global initiative that highlights the leaders in sustainable projects from across the globe. By receiving this recognition and the coveted #beyond1000solutions label from the Foundation, Solar Polar believe the added exposure and attention will enable them to access further support and accelerate the project.

Whilst Solar Polar access other technical facilities and resources in the region to enable them to develop their concepts, Workspace House with its 24hr access, staffed reception and ability to provide space for their business within a 'fully serviced' premises has enabled the team to have a central home-hub. Plus many of the other tenant businesses at Workspace have benefited from being able to access the knowledge and networks of both Michael & Robert.
