Mister Vinyl is proud to sponsor TWO local football teams for the coming 2011/12 season. Yaxley FC Under 8's and Yaxley FC Under 9's respectively get complete new printed kits and promotional support. Playing in the Peterborough & District Junior Alliance League, the teams represent players from three local schools. Mister Vinyl wins PCC's Peterborough Travel Choice competition run in three categories. The Environment Agency won the hotly contested 250 plus employee category, Atkins took first place in the 50 to 250 employees category with the final category, for organisations with 50 or less employees, won by Peterborough Environment City Trust (PECT) and Mister Vinyl.
Organisations won workplace fruit boxes delivered from local farm Riverford Organics, VIP evenings to the local Greyhound stadium and organic chocolate.

As an existing supplier, Mister Vinyl is invited to join the curriculum partnership creation scheme. Thomas Deacon Academy is a partner school in the Peterborough Curriculum and is hoping to establish a range of partnerships across many subject areas to support the creation of curriculum projects for students in the next academic year.

Due to current workloads, a new creative part-timer is needed. It is expected the person will have a dynamic, young outlook and be aware of current fashionable artistic trends and could well be a school or college leaver. Experience of using at least CS2+ versions of Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop is essential. A work experience placement could also be considered if appropriate.
Initially, duties will include creating artwork to client's specification/brief, placing cut lines around the same where necessary and ensuring the graphics are ready for print (or print and cut). Once fluent in this process, training may be given to operate a large format Roland XC540 SolJet PROIII digital printer to take day to day responsibility of all print output. This could lead to a full-time position. Some administration duties will also be necessary.
An interest in urban/street graphics may also be useful for creating original artwork for skate boards, surf boards, jet-skis, vehicle wraps, wallpaper, t-shirts/hoodies, guitar/drum wraps, laptop covers, games consoles and more..

Success! Major award of Green Accreditation by Investors in the Environment presented to Mister Vinyl at awards ceremony. Hosted by PECT at the Eco Centre in Peterborough city centre, the awards were attended by many local businesses. Peterborough City Council's leader Cllr Marco Cereste presented the award personally to Daral Brennan, owner of Mister Vinyl and congratulated him on his excellent example to small businesses. Investors in the Environment called Mister Vinyl's success an inspiration to small businesses.

Peterborough City Council have just awarded Mister Vinyl the contract to design, print and fit a large format mural in a local children's centre.
The mural will run throughout the entire building in areas that children occupy including the reception area, hallways and classrooms. In addition, the kitchen and some of the office areas are also included.
