Newsletter - December 2009
Welcome to the December edition of the Peterborough Workspace Newsletter.
This is my first newsletter following the departure of Philip who left us at the beginning of November. The tenants, staff and directors gave him a great send off which included presenting him with a Wi Fitness machine which he said he was pleased about but I wasn't so sure!
I've spent the time since Philip left finding out about the intricacies of the Workspace business. I've found a business which is thriving confirmed by the fact that at the moment we only have 3 out of 52 units available and these are attracting a healthy interest. All this is a testament to the work and enthusiasm that Philip showed in developing the business.
My grateful thanks also at this stage to Brian and Clive who have been extremely helpful during what continues to be my settling in period, keeping a kindly and benevolent eye on what I am doing. Thanks again gentlemen.
During November we've seen one business move out of workspace and one move in. We've also seen one business move units with several others planning to do something similar. This demonstrates the flexibility that all at Workspace look to offer our tenants.
We had one workshop this month again run by Mark Jackson of Rawlinsons as part of their Business Builder series which concentrated on the subject of benchmarking or, put another way, comparing your business with others in the same sector, particularly the more successful ones, in order to progress your own.
As ever I am grateful to Peter Mulhall of Business Link for providing a further article designed to help small businesses with their all important marketing ideas. This month's article deals with “Customer Databases and Telemarketing”.
