Workspace Alumni Update

Posted on

Anyone that knows Workspace knows that we really are happy when any of the businesses here leave us to move out into their own premises. We see it as a sign of success that they outgrow Workspace and are ready to take the next step. In the last couple of weeks our alumni have been making news and we thought we'd share it with you.

Workspace Alumni

First up, it's July 2022. That means Paul Holt's Photocentric is celebrating its 20th anniversary. World leader in photopolymer stamps to disruptive, innovators in 3D printing and manufacturing. Numerous awards, industry firsts and honours. We're honoured that we were able to play a small part at the very start of this journey and congratulate them on their 20th anniversary. Following in Photocentric's footsteps is Hera Beauty. Andrew Kennedy’s business graduated from Workspace House in 2017 and in 5 short years he has taken his private label skincare manufacturing business on an amazing journey of success and growth. Earlier this month, Andrew announced they had agreed to expand their current premises in Bretton further still. I believe this now means they will be occupying somewhere in the region of 30,000 sq ft (which is one and half Workspaces for anyone that knows our building!). Whilst we are on the subject of moving to bigger premises, we believe that ArtsyLaser (graduated in 2020) are soon to announce some exciting news about their plans for growth. Paul has done amazingly well since taking the bold decision to leave Workspace right at the start of the covid lockdowns to a larger space of their own. Paul's launch, during covid, of his 'hugs' product proved a huge hit and resulted in the need to increase his premises space further still. Now with a growing workforce and ambitious plans we suspect that we’ll hear something soon about their plans. Last of all is our most recent graduate. Flagship Partners left us earlier this year for a purpose-built space in Fengate. Pete, Maggie, and the team celebrated their move with an open day to showcase their premises which includes two fantastic rooms that, whilst primarily being training rooms are also available to hire for meetings, training, interviews and even video production. Always one to give back, Pete recently attended the Stanground Academy Job Fair providing insight and information for the next generation of business owners and entrepreneurs.
