Awards & Carbon Neutral Coffee

Two Workspace tenants hit the headlines recently as they continue to grow their businesses...

Reading about Peterborough businesses doing well is always a good thing, and even more so when the businesses in question are tenants here in Workspace House.

In the last week, Sarah Payne Studios has announced that Sarah recently won. not one but TWO awards at the prestigious National Sewing Awards. Sarah was facing stiff competition with several well-known crafting celebrities and TV stars including recent Strictly Come Dancing star and Dragon's Den entrepreneur Sara Davies also featuring at the awards.

Sarah has been a tenant at Workspace House for just over a year. She moved here as her work-from-home business was gradually taking over the whole house. During her time here, Sarah has continued to grow the business, has moved into a larger unit and will shortly be announcing the publication date of her second book. Hot on the heels of Sarah's successes, fellow tenant James Lillis saw his business - Caturra Coffee Club - feature on the Peterborough Matters website with a topical article on carbon neutral coffee. Sustainability and the environment are becoming everyday elements of businesses, so it is great to see James and his innovative business take the lead. The recent Cop26 summit also pushed these issues to the top of the news agenda and has helped promote businesses like Caturra.

Like a number of people, James launched his business during the early days of the covid pandemic, as he quickly recognised that his original effort to simply cheer up his friends during lockdown was actually a great concept for a business.
